Sree Guha Clothings

Our place, Sree Guha Clothings, is tucked into 2/657 B Venus Garden, which is over in Andipalyam off Mangalam Road. It’s a bit of a different vibe being near a garden area rather than the middle of a heavy industrial zone, but we still have plenty of work to do. We mostly focus on everyday clothes that people around here actually wear. The building isn't anything special, just a practical space where we can fit our tables and the workers can have enough light to see what they’re doing. Sometimes the neighborhood kids play cricket right outside the gates, and we have to be careful when we’re moving the fabric bundles so we don't get in their way. We started this because there was an opening for a small stitching unit in this part of town, and it just sort of stayed a local thing. We don't go out looking for big fame or anything. It's just about getting the pieces put together and sent out to the local markets. The lunch hour is usually the loudest part of the day when everyone sits together and shares food. We have a few old fans that squeak a bit when they're on high, but they keep us cool enough during the summer months. It’s just a normal workplace with normal people trying to do a decent job with the cloth we have. There is usually someone humming a tune while they work.
