Spaceman Knit Fashion

Our workshop is at Sikka Vihar, right on Angeripalayam Road in the Mannarai area. The address is 3/542. It’s a busy part of town with lots of other businesses around. We’ve been doing knit fashion for quite a while. We call it fashion, but mostly it’s just making sure the clothes are comfortable and look okay. The building is a bit old, but it does the job for us. We have all our stuff laid out so we can work fast. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with all the cotton flying around, but that's normal for a place like this. We have a few guys who handle the cutting and others who do the stitching. We don't have a front desk or anyone to greet you with a smile; you just walk in and find us working. It’s a practical way to run things. We’ve seen the road outside get paved and then dug up again many times. The neighborhood has grown since we first moved in. We just focus on getting the orders ready. We don't spend time on fancy brochures. If the work is good, people come back. That’s what we’ve learned over the years. We just try to stay honest and keep our machines in good shape. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s our life and we’re used to it. We keep moving forward and staying busy.
