Sleek Fashions

At Sleek Fashions, we operate out of No. 15 Sherankadu (south) in the K N P Colony area, right off Dharapuram Road here in Tirupur. Being in Tamil Nadu, the weather gets hot, and our workspace can get a bit stuffy, but we have the fans going all day. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and the building shows its age a little bit. It’s a practical space. We have stacks of material waiting to be used and finished pieces ready to go out. Working in Tirupur means we are surrounded by others doing similar things, but we just focus on what’s in front of us at No. 15. The street outside is always full of people and vehicles moving around. It’s a busy part of India to be in. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby. If you walk in, you’ll likely see someone bent over a machine or marking fabric with chalk. It’s noisy and there’s always something that needs fixing. We try to keep things moving as best as we can. Sometimes we get orders that take up all our space and we have to shuffle things around to find room to sit. It’s just the way we work. It’s honest labor and we don’t put on any acts. We just do our bit in the garment industry and try to keep the lights on and the work coming in. There is always more to do than time allows, but that is how a business goes.
