Shri Surabi Fashions

Shri Surabi Fashions is located at No. 22/1 in Mariappan Layout. We are on the 1st Street, not far from the Sivan Theatre Road. It is a nice enough spot, though it can get a bit noisy when the theater has a big crowd. Our place is where we handle the various steps of making garments. We have some sewing machines set up and a table for cutting fabric. It’s the kind of place where you’ll always find bits of thread on the floor and stacks of fabric waiting for attention. We don’t have a fancy sign or a big front window. Most of our visitors are people we’ve worked with for years. We spend our time making sure the stitching is straight and the sizes are correct. Sometimes we stay late when a big order is due, drinking tea and trying to finish up. It’s just a local business, run by people who live nearby. We don’t use any complicated systems to manage things; we mostly just use notebooks and our own memories. Mariappan Layout is a busy little neighborhood, and we feel like a natural part of it. We just focus on the task at hand and try to avoid any major drama. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy. We are happy to just keep doing what we know how to do best without any fuss.
