Shamraj Knits

If you go down to Sidco Harvy Road, you will find us working away at Shamraj Knits. It’s a very industrial part of town, so the air is always full of the sound of machines running. We spend our days surrounded by yarn and knitting equipment, which can get a bit dusty and loud. It isn't a place for sitting around; we are usually on our feet most of the day checking on the production and making sure nothing gets tangled. The building is simple and focused entirely on the work we do. We don’t have any big signs or bright lights out front. Inside, it’s all about the rows of machines and the people who know how to run them. Sometimes it gets quite hot in the warehouse, especially when all the equipment has been running for a few hours. We usually have a short break in the middle of the day where we sit outside for some fresh air and a quick bite to eat. Harvy Road is always busy with big trucks moving goods, so there is a constant hum of activity. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t even notice the noise anymore. The walls have some scuffs and the floor is a bit worn, but that just shows how much work goes on here. We just focus on getting the knitting done and making sure everything is packed up correctly.
