Shagithya Garments

The shop is located at No. 8/ 313 in Pitchampalayam Pudur Post. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but the area is quiet enough for us to get things done. We deal with garments here, so there is always fabric around and the sound of machines running in the background. Most of the people working here live nearby and walk to the place every morning. We have piles of clothes that need to be checked and packed up. The building itself is simple, just walls and a roof to keep the rain off the stock. We don't have fancy signs or anything like that. People know where we are because we have been in this part of Pitchampalayam Pudur for some time. In the afternoons, it can get quite warm inside, so we keep the fans going at full speed. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. Dealing with the post office nearby is a regular thing for us when we have to send things out. It is a straightforward kind of life here, just making sure the stitches are right and the colors look okay before anything leaves the door. We don't spend much on decorations because the clothes take up all the room anyway. The floor is usually covered in little bits of thread that we sweep up at the end of the day.
