Dharane Garments

Dharane Garments is located over at No. 436 in Serangadu. We are right near the M. G. B. Theater, which makes it pretty easy for people to find us in the K. N. P. Colony Post area. It’s a decent-sized space where we keep all the sewing machines and cutting tables. The noise of the machines is something you just get used to after a few days of working here. We’ve got a small crew, and most of us have lived in the area our whole lives. We don't have any big signs or flashy lights out front. It’s just a regular building where we make clothes. Some days the fabric arrives late and we have to stay a bit longer to catch up on everything. That’s just part of the business. We keep a stash of snacks in the back room for when we get hungry in the afternoon. The M. G. B. Theater is a good landmark if you’re trying to give directions to someone new. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but we’re still here at number 436. It gets a bit crowded when a big shipment comes in, but we manage to move things around. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town. We just want to do our work and go home to our families. It’s an honest living for everyone involved. The building stays cool enough, which is a relief when the sun is out.
