Stitches Apparel Sourcing

Our office is over on Kongu Main Road in Selvaraj Nagar. It is a busy part of the town with a lot of movement throughout the day. We spend most of our time dealing with apparel sourcing. That basically means we spend all day on the phone or talking to people about different types of fabric and production schedules. It is not as glamorous as some people think. My desk is usually a giant pile of fabric samples and shipping notes. We have been working from this same spot for a few years now. The building is very simple, nothing fancy about the setup at all. We have a small kettle for making coffee and that is about it for our luxuries. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who really know the clothing business. People come to us when they need to get things made and don't know where to start. We know the local factories and who does the best work for certain things. It is a lot of back and forth every day. Sometimes things go wrong with a shipment and we have to spend the whole night fixing the problem. That is just the nature of this kind of work. Kongu Main Road can be a real nightmare for parking, so I usually tell people to come early if they can. We are just regular people trying to do a good job. We don’t use big words or fancy presentations.
