Harsshitha Garments

People usually find us here at Selvalakshmi Nagar in the Kulathupalayam area, which is part of Veerapandi Post. It’s a busy spot, mostly because of the garment work going on. Harsshitha Garments isn't a fancy place with a big glass front or anything. We just have our machines and a lot of fabric lying around most days. My desk is usually covered in thread scraps and bits of paper where I've scribbled down measurements. It’s loud sometimes because of the sewing machines, but we’re used to it by now. The neighbors don't seem to mind much. We've been at this address, 637/3, for a while now. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It’s just how things go in this part of Veerapandi. We handle a lot of different orders, mostly clothes that people need for their daily lives or small shops nearby. There isn't a lot of mystery to it. You cut the cloth, you stitch it, and you move on to the next pile. We try to keep things organized but when a big shipment comes in, the whole floor gets covered. It’s just a normal workplace with normal people trying to get their work done before the sun goes down. Most of the staff live close by, so we all know each other's families and what’s happening in the neighborhood. It makes the long days feel a bit shorter for everyone.
