Scribble Wear

We are located on the first floor at No. 9-1 in the K. R. R Layout, right off Mangalam Road. Scribble Wear is a small operation. We don't have a giant warehouse or hundreds of employees. It’s just a few rooms where we do our printing and design work. Being on the first floor means we have to carry everything up the stairs, which is a bit of a workout. We don't have any fancy elevators or anything like that. The space is a bit cramped because we have a lot of screens and ink jars everywhere. It smells like paint and fresh cotton most of the time. We aren't corporate people. We wear t-shirts and jeans to work because it’s messy. Sometimes the prints don't come out right the first time, and we have to redo them. We don't try to hide that. It’s just part of the process. We’ve been in this layout for a few years now, and the other business owners are friendly. We share the same parking area and complain about the same things. We don't have any of those big goals you hear about. We just like making clothes that look a bit different. It’s a lot of manual labor and long hours, but we prefer being our own bosses in this small space. Our desks are messy and there are notes pinned everywhere. It’s not perfect, but it’s how we create. We just keep our heads down and get the shirts ready for the people who want them.
