We are Sawin Knit Wears, and you can find us at No. 3 Ammaniammal Layout in Perichipalayam North, just off Dharapuram Road. It's a bit of a mouthful to say the whole address, but it’s a good spot for us to work. We work with knitted items, which means there’s always a bit of lint and thread everywhere on the floor. The shop is a bit noisy when the machines are all running, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm over time. It’s a local operation. We don’t have a lot of middle managers or fancy glass offices. It's just the folks who know how to work the machines and handle the fabric correctly. Dharapuram Road is usually busy, so there’s a lot of movement outside our gates. We spend our days making sure the quality is decent and the orders are packed right before they go out. It’s physical work and your back can definitely hurt by the end of a long day, but it feels good to see the finished stacks of clothes ready to go. We’ve been in this layout for a while now. The neighbors are mostly other small workshops, so we all know the struggle of keeping things running smoothly. We don’t do much advertising. People usually find us through word of mouth or just by passing by the layout. It’s just a simple knitwear place where we try to do an honest day’s work for our customers.
