Savi Traders

Savi Traders is located at No. 28 Eswaran Kovil North Street. Being on a street named after the temple means it’s always lively around here, especially during festival times when the crowds are huge. We deal with a lot of different goods, so the shop is usually packed with crates and sacks of items. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is kept. The floor is old stone and it stays relatively cool even when the sun is beating down outside. We spend a good chunk of our day talking to vendors and checking the inventory that comes in on the trucks. It’s a lot of manual labor, moving things from the back to the front. We don't have a computer system for everything; a lot of it is still written down in ledgers by hand. It’s just the way we’ve always done it. The street noise is constant, with motorbikes and people walking by all day long. We have a small bench out front where we sit sometimes when things slow down for a minute or two. It’s a simple trading business. We don't have any corporate slogans or big goals other than finishing the day’s work and getting home for dinner. People in the neighborhood know us by name, and we like it that way. It’s honest work, and we just keep at it day after day without much fuss or bother.
