K. S. Garments

We are located over in the Sastri Nagar area. It’s a pretty decent part of town, mostly quiet compared to the noise of the big city markets. K. S. Garments has been here for a good bit now. We don't have a big fancy storefront with bright lights or anything like that. It’s just a plain metal door and some windows where you can see the current stock we have. Inside, it usually smells like new fabric and maybe a little bit of the incense we light every morning for luck. I spend a lot of my time folding and re-folding shirts on the table. They always seem to get messy no matter how many times I straighten them. My family helps out during the busy seasons when everyone is looking for new clothes for the festivals. We don't use any fancy computer systems or tablets. Everything is written down by hand in a big blue book I keep under the counter. If I ever lose that book, I’ll be in a lot of trouble. The neighbors are nice people, they run a small grocery shop next door and we trade snacks and tea sometimes. It’s a simple way to run a small business. We don't try to be something we aren't. We just provide garments to whoever happens to walk in. Sometimes people stay and chat for an hour about nothing in particular. That’s just how it is in Sastri Nagar.
