Saravana Textiles

Our little shop is tucked away at 61/2 Karatankadu 5th Street. It is right off Dharapuram Road, so there is always some noise from the traffic. We have been handling textiles for a long time. Mostly it is just rolls of cloth and making sure everything is counted right. We are not trying to be the biggest place in town, just a reliable one where people can get their fabric without a fuss. The building itself is pretty plain. We keep the stock organized as best as we can, though sometimes it gets a bit messy when we are busy. You will usually find one of us sitting by the entrance, probably drinking tea and waiting for the next delivery truck to show up. We know the neighbors pretty well since we have stayed in this spot for so long. The light inside is not always the brightest, but we know where every single bale is kept. It is mostly cotton and blends that we move through here. We do not use any fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is still done with paper and a pen. It works for us. If you walk down 5th street, you will see the sign. It is a bit faded from the sun now. We spend our mornings checking the inventory and the afternoons dealing with whoever drops by. It is a straightforward life, really. Just buying and selling cloth and making sure things stay moving.
