Grandeur Tex

You can find Grandeur Tex over at S. F. No. 473 in the Easwaramoorthy Gounder Layout. We are tucked away in Samundi Puram East. It’s a textile place through and through. The floor is usually covered in loose threads and pieces of scrap fabric. We have a few rows of machines going most of the time. It gets hot in the middle of the day, so we keep the big doors open to catch whatever breeze comes through the layout. Most of the people working here have been doing this for years, so they know the machines better than anyone. We don't spend much time on office work; most of the action happens right on the production floor. Boxes are stacked up near the entrance waiting to be picked up by the trucks. Sometimes the trucks have a hard time navigating the street if someone parked badly, which happens a lot. We just handle whatever textile work comes our way. It’s loud, it’s busy, and there is always something that needs fixing. We drink a lot of tea to keep going. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just do the work, pack the goods, and start again the next morning. It’s just the way things are done here in Samundi Puram. We’ve learned to deal with the noise and the constant hum of the facility. It is just part of the daily life for us here.
