S. Surya Labels

S. Surya Labels is over at No. 5/1 Kamaraj Street in Kumaranandhapuram. It is a small shop where we do a lot of printing and label work. The space is filled with machines and rolls of paper and the smell of ink is always there. It can be quite loud when the cutters are running, but we are used to it. We spend most of our day making sure the machines are fed and the settings are right. It is a lot of looking at small details to make sure nothing is blurry or crooked. Kamaraj Street is a busy little place with lots of other shops, so there is a lot of movement outside. We have been here for a while and have seen the street change over the years. Our shop is simple and we don’t have any fancy decorations. It is a place for working, not for showing off. Sometimes things go wrong with the equipment and we have to spend the afternoon fixing a jam or cleaning the rollers. That is just part of the routine here in Kumaranandhapuram. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything. We just focus on the orders that come in and try to get them out on time. It is steady work and it keeps us busy from morning until we close up for the night.
