Visitor Knit Fashions

Visitor Knit Fashions is located at 2/409 S. Periyapalayam, right on the Uthukuli Main Road. If you drive past, you can usually hear the sound of the knitting machines humming away inside. We are in a part of the country where everyone knows someone in the textile business, so we are just one of many units here. Our building is right on the main road, which makes it easy for the trucks to pull up and load the bags of finished garments. We focus on knitwear, so the place is always full of yarn cones and soft fabric. It gets pretty hot during the day, so we keep the big doors open to let some air in. Most of the people working here have been with us for a long time and they know the machines inside out. We don't have a fancy website or a big sales team; we just do our work and let the finished items go out as they are. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend half the day fixing it, which can be frustrating when we have a big deadline. We eat our lunch together and talk about the local news. It is a very normal, local way of doing things. We just try to keep the orders moving and make sure everyone gets paid on time at the end of the month. It’s a simple life on Uthukuli Main Road.
