We have been operating out of No. 679 K. N. P. Subramaniam Nagar East for quite a few years now. It’s a busy corner of the neighborhood, and people around here mostly know us as the place where all the sewing machines are always running. Royal Garments Pvt. Ltd. isn’t a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s more of a practical space where we get things made. The building itself is a bit old, and the stairs creak when you walk up them. Inside, there are rolls of fabric everywhere you look. We have a small group of people working here, and we all just focus on our own tasks. Some days it gets really hot, so we have the big ceiling fans going at full speed. It’s quite loud with all the stitching going on, but you get used to it after a while. We don't spend money on big advertisements because most of our work comes through word of mouth. The delivery trucks sometimes struggle with the narrow turns on the street, but they eventually make it. We take our lunch breaks together in the back area where it’s a bit quieter. There’s a tea shop just down the road that brings us a tray every afternoon. It’s just a regular day-to-day business for us. We start early and we stay until the last order is packed up and ready to go out.
