Rich Cotton

Rich Cotton is based at No. 24 A. V. P L. O. 3rd Street in Gandhi Nagar. It’s a bit of a quiet corner compared to the main roads but there is still plenty going on. We have been here for a while and the place is filled with the smell of raw cotton and the sound of fabric being moved around. It is a straightforward setup with work tables and storage shelves lining the walls. We don’t spend much time on decorating or making it look like a showroom because that isn't what we are about. We focus on the cotton itself and getting it ready for whatever it needs to be. Gandhi Nagar has a lot of these small units and we are just one of them trying to do honest work every day. The rain sometimes leaks a little near the back door if it comes down too hard but we just put a bucket there and keep going. We know the other folks on 3rd Street and sometimes we borrow a tool or help someone out. It’s a basic life but it suits us fine. The trucks come by to pick up loads and then it gets real busy for an hour or two before things settle back down. Most days we are just here from eight in the morning until the sun goes down.
