Our workshop is at No. 12/ 1 in Needhi Yammal Nagar, on the 3rd Street just off P. N. Road. It’s a very busy part of the city with a lot of manufacturing going on all around us. You can usually hear the sound of heavy vehicles and other workshops from our front door. We don't have a fancy office or any soft chairs for visitors. It’s mostly just a large room where we handle clothing orders and check the pieces we get. There are always piles of garments waiting to be sorted or packed into boxes. We spend a lot of time looking for specific labels or checking the stitching on different batches. It is a lot of physical work, moving things around and standing for long periods. The floor is concrete and we have some old metal fans to keep the air moving when it gets too hot. We don't have a big team or any complicated systems. Most of our work is done based on what we see with our own eyes and what we can manage with our own hands. Sometimes the deliveries are delayed and we have to spend the whole day on the phone trying to figure out where the truck is. It’s just the way things work in this area. We aren't trying to be fancy; we just want to get the work done so we can go home to our families at the end of the day.
