Rathan Hosieries

We are located at No. 7 in Mahveer Colony over in Sabapathi Puram. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main market areas, which is nice because it’s easier to load and unload our stuff. We handle hosiery items, so there are always boxes of socks and innerwear piled up near the entrance. The building isn’t anything special to look at, just a practical space where we can keep our inventory and do the counting. Most of our days are spent checking lists and making sure the right quantities are going out to the local shops. It’s a lot of repetitive work, really. You count the dozens, you pack them, and then you move on to the next pile. My brother and I run the show here, and we have a few local boys who help with the heavy lifting. The colony has its own rhythm, and we’ve become a part of it over the years. Sometimes neighbors drop by just to say hello or ask for a specific item they need for their kids. We don't have a big fancy website or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been here a long time and people know where to find us. It’s basic, honest work. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the ceiling fan makes a clicking sound, but it gets the job done and we are happy with that. We just keep our heads down and work.
