Vega Knitwear

Our place is at No. 18a/50a Ramaiya Colony Main Road. Being on the main road means we see everything that goes by, from the morning school buses to the late-night trucks. It’s a busy spot for Vega Knitwear. We have a decent-sized workroom where the main production happens. The walls are a bit scuffed from moving boxes around, but that’s just what happens in a place like this. We spend a lot of time looking at different fabrics and deciding what to use for which order. It’s a lot of hands-on work. We don’t use any fancy computer systems for the most part; we mostly use notebooks and pens to keep track of things. It feels more reliable that way. The staff here has been with us for a while, so we’re like a small family. We share snacks in the afternoon and complain about the heat when the sun hits the front of the building. It’s a practical environment. We don’t spend money on fancy furniture or decor because that’s not what we’re about. We just want to get the knitting done and get the orders out the door on time. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a big load to finish, but usually, we wrap up and head home like everyone else. It’s just a regular life for us here in the colony.
