D. S. R. Fashions

We are located at No. 16- A/28 in Ramaiah Colony. It’s right there on Mahaliamman Kovil Street. You can usually hear the sounds from the temple nearby, which is a constant backdrop to our workday at D. S. R. Fashions. Our space is filled with fabric rolls and threads of every color you can think of. It’s not a big corporate factory, just a local spot where we get things done. We spend a lot of time looking at patterns and making sure the stitching is straight. Sometimes the needles break or the thread tangles up, and we have to take a minute to fix it. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open. The street outside is always busy with people going to the temple or just heading home. We’ve got a couple of sewing machines that have been with us for a long time. They’re reliable, even if they’re a bit loud. We don’t really do fancy advertising or anything like that. Word of mouth usually brings people to us. It’s a practical way to run a business. We like the community here in the colony. Everyone knows each other’s faces. When we finish a batch of clothes, there’s a good feeling of accomplishment. Then we just clear the tables and start the next one. There is always a lot of cleaning up to do.
