R & G Apparels

Our workshop is right across from Konguvellalar School on Angeripalayam Road. You can’t miss the building since it is No. 8 / 24 A - F. It’s a busy area, especially when the school bell rings and kids are everywhere. R & G Apparels has been here for quite some time. We spend most of our hours at the cutting tables or just checking the stitching on the finished pieces. It’s mostly clothing production, nothing too complicated or high-end. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone sitting in a polished office. It’s just us and the machines. Sometimes the place gets a bit crowded with all the cardboard boxes waiting to be picked up by the transport guys. We try to keep things organized but when a large order comes in, there is stuff stacked in every corner. The tea stall down the street is where we usually take our breaks. It’s a normal day-to-day life for us. We don't make a big fuss about the business. If someone needs clothes made, they just come in and talk to us directly. We look at the fabric together, figure out the patterns, and get to work. The street is always loud with scooters and buses passing by every minute. It keeps us awake through the long shifts. We don't have fancy office chairs or air conditioning. Most of us are on our feet all day. We just focus on the needles and getting the thread through.
