Ganapathy Garments

Ganapathy Garments has been here in Boyampalayam for some time now. We are just a small setup focusing on making clothes. Most days, you will find us busy with the sewing machines and rolls of fabric sitting in the corner. It is a simple place, not one of those big factories with glass windows. We just handle the work as it comes in. The neighborhood is mostly people doing similar things, so we fit right in. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It's part of living here. We don't have a big office or anything like that. Just the main room where everything happens. We know our way around cotton and polyester. My family helped get this started because there was a need for a local shop that could just do the work without making a fuss. We keep the doors open mostly all day. If you walk past, you’ll hear the noise of the machines. It’s a loud place but that’s how it is when you’re making things. We get the thread from the local market. It’s a basic operation. We don’t spend much on decorations because the space is for working. There’s a lot of scrap fabric that piles up by the end of the week. We just clear it out and start again on Monday. That is how things go here in our little spot.
