We have been over here at No. 222/2 Ponnan Thottam for a good while now. It is a busy spot down Dharapuram Road. Mostly we just deal with the daily work of making knitwear. People around Murugapalayam Post know where to find us. It is not a fancy place, just a workspace with machines and fabric everywhere. Most days it is pretty loud with the clicking and humming of the machines. We focus on getting the stitches right. Sometimes the weather gets really hot, but we keep the fans going and get through the orders. The guys here have been doing this for years, so they know their way around a sewing machine. We do not really do much advertising. Usually, someone tells someone else about us, and that is how we keep busy. It is a lot of manual work, checking the seams and making sure the fabric is cut straight. We spend most of our time looking at patterns and thread colors. If you are coming down Dharapuram Road, you might miss the turnoff if you are not looking. It is just how things are in this part of town. We just try to finish what is on the table by the end of the day. There is always piles of cloth waiting to be turned into something wearable. We keep it simple. It is just us, some good machines, and plenty of coffee to keep us going through the afternoon.
