Bhargya Garments

Our workshop, Bhargya Garments, is situated in Ponnammal Colony within Pandian Nagar, just off Pn Road. It is a busy part of the city, and we are right in the thick of it. We do not have a showroom with mannequins in the window. Most of what we do happens at the cutting tables and the overlock machines. We make a variety of garments, mostly stuff that people wear every day. My wife looks over everything we make to find loose threads or missed stitches. We are not a big corporation with lots of rules. We just come in, drink some tea, and get to work. The building is a bit old, and the stairs are narrow, but it is where we have built everything. We do not use much marketing; we just rely on the fact that we do what we say we are going to do. If an order is supposed to be ready on Tuesday, we try our best to have it boxed by Monday night. Sometimes the fabric suppliers are late, which messes up our schedule, but we just work a bit faster to catch up. It is a simple life. We know most of the other business owners on this street. We share news and sometimes help each other out with spare needles or thread. It is a community effort here in Pandian Nagar, and we are just glad to be a part of it.
