Our place is over at No. 18 in Mgr Nagar First Street, inside what everyone calls the Smr-Paval Compound. It’s one of those busy streets where there’s always something happening, usually someone unloading a van or rolls of fabric being moved around. The compound itself is a bit older, with some cracks in the pavement and a gate that squeaks every time it opens. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of machines and people talking over the noise. We don’t have fancy air conditioning in every corner, so we keep the windows open when we can. It’s a practical workspace. We’ve got rows of tables and people who have been working these machines for years. It’s not a corporate office with glass walls; it’s more of a workshop feel. We spend most of our time looking at samples and checking things over. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, and we all just take a break outside in the street until it comes back on. That’s just part of being in this part of town. We’ve stayed here because it’s where we started and we know all the other shops nearby. If we need something, we just walk down the street and ask. It’s a simple way of doing things, and we don’t see any reason to change it. Just a regular bunch of people working hard in the compound.
