The stairs up to the unit are a bit narrow, so carrying the boxes down for shipping is always a chore. We’ve got a couple of rows of machines and a big table for checking the collars and sleeves. The guys are pretty fast at what they do. We don’t have a lot of space for a lounge or anything like that. Just a small corner for the water cooler and some bags of supplies. Anaikadu is a loud area with all the other textile units nearby, but it feels like the right place for us to be. We just keep our heads down and get the orders finished on time. Sometimes I stay late to finish up the paperwork while the machines are finally quiet for the day. It’s honest work and we’ve been at it long enough to know the routine well. We aren't looking to become some giant factory, we just like making good shirts in our little upstairs space.
