Pjsk Nit Garments

Pjsk Nit Garments is situated at No. 1/3 Sengunthapuram Street No. 8, just off Menglam Road. This part of town is pretty much dedicated to the garment trade, so we fit right in with the rest of the businesses on the street. It is a busy little corner of the world. Every morning, the street comes alive with the sound of shutters opening and scooters zooming past. We have been in this particular building for a few years. It is a simple setup with enough room for our knitting work and storage. The walls are mostly covered with samples and notes scribbled on bits of paper. We don't use fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of it is still done with a pen and a notebook. The air always smells a bit like new cotton, which isn't a bad thing. We have a regular routine that starts around eight. The tea man comes by at ten, and that is usually the highlight of the morning. Most of our day is spent checking the quality of the knits and making sure the machines are running smoothly. If something breaks, we usually fix it ourselves. It is a hands-on kind of place. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that we have been here long enough for people to know our name. It is just us, working hard in a small street and getting things done.
