Billa Clothing Company

Billa Clothing Company is located at No. 55/ D on Bharathi Nagar 2nd Street in Saminathapuram. We’ve been working out of this building for a long time. It’s not on a main road, so it’s a bit quieter than the center of town. We mostly handle clothing orders for different people. It’s a practical space with cutting tables and sewing machines lined up. It’s often a bit noisy with the hum of the motors and people talking over the fans. We don't have a big sign or a fancy lobby. It’s just a place where we get the work done. The street outside is narrow, so it can be a bit of a squeeze when the delivery trucks come by. We’ve gotten used to it though. Sometimes the piles of fabric get a bit high and we have to move things around just to walk through the room. We aren't trying to impress anyone with how the place looks. We just focus on making sure the shirts and trousers are sewn right. My family has been doing this for years, and we just keep the tradition going. We have a small group of workers who have been with us for a long time. We drink tea together in the afternoons and talk about the news. It’s a steady life and we are happy to be part of the Saminathapuram community.
