Our workshop is located at No. 3 Ellora Garden, which is part of the K.N.P. Colony area near Puthur Piruvu. It is a bit of a drive out on Dharapuram Road, but we like being slightly away from the center of town. The morning air here feels a bit fresher. We have a regular routine that starts with opening up all the windows to let the light in. The space inside is mostly taken up by the cutting tables and the finished goods ready for dispatch. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive furniture. The chairs are old but comfortable enough for a long day of work. You can see the road from our front door, and there is always a steady stream of buses and motorbikes going by. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just take a break and sit outside in the shade for a bit until it comes back on. It is a very practical way of living. We know the postman by name, and he knows exactly where to leave our mail. Dealing with garments is a lot of repetitive work, but we find a rhythm in it. We just focus on getting the orders out to the post office on time. It is a simple business run by people who just want to do their job well without any extra fuss or complication.
