Sdl Knits

Over at No. 71/1b in Ayyan Nagar, you’ll find Sdl Knits. If you know the Parappalayam Extension near Mangalam Road, that's exactly where we are. It’s a bit of a trek from the main city center, but we like it here. We spend most of our time dealing with the knitting machines. They make a lot of noise, but you get used to it after a few years. The space we have is okay for what we do. We manage the yarn and the finished pieces in different sections to keep some order. Sometimes the trucks have a hard time turning on the narrow road when they come for pickups. We’ve been here for a bit now. Most of the folks working here are from the surrounding area. We don't do much advertising; people just find us through word of mouth or seeing the sign on Mangalam Road. It’s a practical place. We have some storage in the back for the big rolls of fabric. It’s nothing special to look at, just a place where we get things done. We drink a lot of coffee to keep going during the busy seasons when the deadlines are tight. You’ll see us out front sometimes taking a break. It’s a steady pace most days. We focus on the work right in front of us. It’s just a regular local business trying to keep the machines running and the orders going out on time. We don't have much time for fancy stuff. It's just us and the machines working away.
