Maruthi Apparel

Maruthi Apparel is located at No. 75 Nvb Layout on 1st Street. We are in the Chellam Nagar Pirivu area of Parapalayam. It is a fairly standard neighborhood with a mix of homes and small shops. We have been working out of this building for several years now. It’s a straightforward setup. We don't have any polished reception area or big signs to grab your attention. We just focus on the apparel we produce. The street can be a little bit narrow, so when we have deliveries coming in or going out, it can be a bit of a squeeze for the trucks. We manage though. Most of the people working here live nearby, so there is a lot of local talk while we work. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just cutting, sewing, and packing. By the end of the day, the floor is usually covered in thread and small pieces of cloth. We sweep it all up and get ready for the next morning. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, especially when all the machines are running at once, so we keep the fans on high. We aren't a giant corporation with hundreds of rules. We just have a small group that knows how to get the job done. Being in Parapalayam feels right for us. We've seen the neighborhood grow and change, but our little spot on 1st Street remains pretty much the same as it always was. We just keep at it day after day.
