We are tucked away on Pappa Nagar 1st Street, right near Cotton Mill Road. If you know the area, you know it’s mostly industrial and busy with trucks. Our spot at No. 4- 357- A is where we spend all our time making banians. It’s a lot of cotton and a lot of lint everywhere. You can hear the knitting machines from the street sometimes. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s mostly just shelves and stacks of finished goods waiting to go out. The light in the back is a bit dim, but we know where everything is. My father started this and now we just keep it going as best as we can. Some days the heat is really something else, especially with all the machinery running, but we just open the windows and keep moving. We don't do much advertising because people around here already know where to find us. It’s practical work. We cut, we stitch, and we pack. There’s no secret to it, just staying busy and making sure the orders don't pile up too high. Sometimes the delivery truck is late and we have to wait around, but that’s just part of life on Cotton Mill Road. It’s a honest living and it keeps us out of trouble. We’ve been in this street for a long time and the neighbors are like family. We just keep working until the day is done and start again tomorrow.
