Sri Kandavel Textiles

We’ve been here in Palladam for quite some time now, specifically tucked away at 2/1094 K.S. Nagar in Thundukkadu. The area is mostly busy with textile work, and we are just a small part of that bigger picture in Panapalayam. Most mornings start early before the sun gets too hot, getting the machines ready and checking on the fabric stock we have on hand. It’s a lot of manual work, honestly. We spend a good chunk of the day just making sure everything is running okay and the orders are moving along like they should. People around here know where we are, right near the Thundukkadu stretch. It isn’t a fancy office or anything like that, just a workspace where we get things done. Sometimes the power goes out or a machine gets stuck, and we just deal with it as it happens. We aren’t trying to change the world, just trying to make sure the textiles leaving our place are what people expected. The road outside can get a bit dusty with all the trucks passing through, but that is just how it is in this part of town. We’ve grown used to the noise and the rhythm of the looms. It’s a simple life here, focused on the threads and the cloth. We usually wrap up as the light fades, making sure the doors are shut tight before heading home to our families nearby to rest for the next day.
