Lina Apparel

Lina Apparel is located at No- 56 M. G. Pudur 2nd Street, just off Palladam Road. It’s a typical workspace for this part of town. We spend our days cutting fabric and sewing. There’s always a pile of something waiting to be finished near the door. The street outside can get pretty busy with trucks and motorbikes, but we just stay inside and keep working. It’s not a glamorous setup, just a bunch of tables and machines. We’ve got a small team and we’ve known each other for a long time. We mostly talk about the work or what’s going on in the neighborhood while we sew. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, which is frustrating, but that’s life here. We don't do much advertising; mostly people just find us or hear about us from someone else. We try to be careful with the details, but mistakes happen and we just fix them and move on. Palladam Road has a lot of shops like ours, so we just try to do our part quietly. It’s hard work, especially when the weather gets hot and the fans don't do much. But we like having our own place. We just keep our heads down and get the garments out the door as fast as we can. Usually we have the radio on in the background to keep things lively.
