S & T Clothings

We are right in the middle of the action at 13 A, 5th Street in Gandhi Nagar. If you know anything about the clothing trade, you know this neighborhood is where everything happens. The streets are narrow and always filled with people carrying huge bags of garments or pushing trolleys. S & T Clothings is tucked away in one of these busy lanes. Our workshop is usually a bit chaotic, with stacks of fabric reaching almost to the ceiling and the constant whirring of sewing machines. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear a nice suit, because you’ll definitely end up with some thread or dust on you. We have a small area near the front where we keep our finished pieces, but most of the space is dedicated to the actual making of the clothes. The lighting isn't the best, so we have some extra lamps clamped onto the tables to see the stitching clearly. During the peak season, we are here until late at night, and the whole street stays bright and noisy with everyone else doing the same. It’s hard work and it gets quite warm inside when all the machines are running, but we have a couple of big fans that help. It’s just a typical Gandhi Nagar setup where we focus on getting the orders out on time.
