Ruggers Tiruppur

Down here in Tiruppur, specifically in the Vigneshwara Nagar area near Puluvapatti, we run our small operation called Ruggers. Tiruppur is known for its clothes and textiles, so we fit right in with the local scene. Our place isn't hard to find if you know your way around the Puluvapatti post office area. We spend most of our hours looking at fabrics and checking the stitching on various items. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. The street outside is usually full of people moving around, which is typical for this part of town. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It is more of a practical workspace where the actual labor happens. We’ve stayed in this location because it is close to where many of our workers live. Every day is pretty much the same, filled with the sounds of machines and people talking. We don't use any big marketing tricks. We just make what we need to make and send it out. Sometimes we run behind schedule when the power goes out, but we always catch up. It’s a simple life here in Vigneshwara Nagar, focusing on one piece of work at a time. We like being part of the Tiruppur community because everyone understands the textile business. There’s a tea shop around the corner we visit often. It’s just how we live.
