Nathan Exports Tiruppur

Our place is located at No. 112/55 D on 1st Street in Rajaji Nagar. This is just off P. N. Road in Tiruppur. If you know this town, you know it is all about clothes and export. We are right in the middle of that. The street is a bit narrow, so when the big trucks come to load up, it gets quite tight for everyone. We have been operating from this building for several years now. It is a basic setup with some sewing machines and a large cutting table in the back. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint but we are usually too busy with orders to get to it. We mostly handle small to medium export orders for basic garments. My day starts early, checking the samples and making sure the packing is done right before the sun gets too hot. Tiruppur is a noisy place with all the factories, and our street is no different. We have a small office corner where we keep the files and the computer. It is usually a mess of thread and fabric scraps on the floor. We don't do much marketing or anything like that. Most of our work comes from old contacts we have known for a long time. It is hard work and the margins are tight, but it keeps the lights on. We just try to get the orders out on time without making any big mistakes. The tea stall at the corner is where we spend our afternoon breaks.
