Jk Fashion

Our place is right on Easwaran Kovil Street in the Nallur area, not too far from the main Kangayam Road in Vijayapuram. It’s a busy area, especially in the evenings when everyone is out doing their shopping. Being so near the temple means there is always some kind of noise or a festival going on right outside our door. Jk Fashion is basically just a small room packed with different clothes for everyone. We spend a lot of our time just moving heavy boxes around to make enough space for people to walk through the aisles. The walls are painted a simple white, though they could probably use a fresh coat soon because of all the scuffs from the hangers. We usually open up around ten in the morning. That’s the best time because it’s still cool before the afternoon sun starts hitting the front of the shop. We keep a variety of things on the racks, mostly stuff people need for their everyday life. It’s not like those big malls you see in the city. Here, we know most of the people who walk in. We might chat about the weather or how bad the traffic is on the main road while they look at the shirts or pants. Sometimes we get really busy and the floor gets covered in plastic wrap from the new bundles, and we have to scurry to clean it up before the next person comes in. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy bags of stock and making sure the displays don't look too messy.
