Urban Cotton

Out at Sf. No. 498/1, Site No. 8 in Muthanampalayam, the air feels a bit different than the center of town. We are located near Angalamman Garden, which gives Urban Cotton a slightly quieter setting. It’s not a huge office building; it’s more of a site where we can focus on the cotton. We deal with raw materials and getting them ready for whatever comes next. The site itself is quite basic. We have a roof over our heads and enough space to store the bales. Working with cotton means everything is covered in a fine layer of white lint by the end of the day. It’s just part of the job. We don't wear suits or carry briefcases here. Most of us are in old clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. Muthanampalayam is a developing area, so there is always some construction or farming happening nearby. We like the spot because it’s out of the way but still accessible. We don't have any grand statements to make about what we do. We just handle the cotton, keep the site organized, and make sure the deliveries are on time. It’s a slow and steady kind of life at Urban Cotton. We focus on the task at hand and don't worry about much else. The garden nearby is a nice place to sit for five minutes when we need a break. It is a simple way of working.
