Profit Garments

Our workshop is at No. 21 in the Rajammal Layout area of Murungapalayam. It’s a busy little corner of the world. At Profit Garments, we don't really go in for anything fancy. The space is filled with sewing machines, rolls of cloth, and threads of every color you can think of. It’s a bit loud when everyone is working at once, but that’s the sound of things getting done. We aren't a corporate office with suits and ties. Most of us just wear whatever is comfortable for a long day of work. The neighborhood is full of small shops and houses, so there’s always something going on outside our windows. We’ve been in this layout for a few years now and know most of the people on the street. We don't have a mission statement or any of that stuff. We just try to make clothes that people can actually use. Sometimes we stay late to finish a big order, and other times we might close early if it’s a slow day. It’s a very human way of running things. We don't use a lot of big words or try to sound more important than we are. We are just a local garment place trying to make a living and do our bit. We have an old radio that stays on most of the day for background noise. It only catches a few stations.
