Merwin Exports

Our business, Merwin Exports, is located at 458 Palladam Road in the Thennampalayam area. It is a busy part of town with lots of movement and trucks passing by all day long. We spend most of our time dealing with shipping containers and making sure the export documents are all filled out correctly. It’s a lot of back and forth with the shipping agents. We have a small warehouse space here where we store the goods before they go out. It’s not the most glamorous work, but it keeps us busy. The dust from the road comes in sometimes so we have to keep the fabric and finished goods covered up with plastic. We don't have a big sign or anything. Most of our clients have been with us for a long time, so they know where we are. We just use simple English to get the point across and don't bother with fancy presentations. The office is just a desk, a couple of chairs, and a lot of filing cabinets that are overflowing. We try to stay on top of the orders so nothing gets stuck at the border. It’s a daily grind of checking lists and making phone calls. We aren't looking to change much about how we operate. As long as the goods get exported and our workers are paid, we are happy.
