C. S. Garments Tiruppur

We operate out of 42 Karumarampalayam in the Mannarai area of Tiruppur. If you know this town, you know it’s all about the clothes and the stitching. C. S. Garments Tiruppur is just one of many, but we’ve got our own little rhythm here. The machines are running almost all day long. It's a rhythmic sound that you stop hearing after a while. We have a small crew and everyone knows their job. Some of us have been working these machines for years. The building is a standard Tiruppur setup, nothing special to look at from the outside but it’s practical for what we need. We get the fabric in, we cut it, and we sew it. It sounds simple but there’s always something that needs fixing or a thread that snaps at the wrong time. The heat in the afternoon can be a bit much, so we try to get the heavy work done early. We keep the scrap fabric in bins by the door to stay tidy. It’s a lot of manual work and our backs usually ache by the evening. Mannarai is a good spot for us because it’s close to the suppliers. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town, just a reliable one. Most days are just us sitting at the tables or the machines, making sure the piles move along. We don't have time for anything too complicated. It is just basic work done by real people who have been doing this a long time.
