Malar Apparels

Our business, Malar Apparels, is located at No. 24 on Shermian Street, inside the K. P. M. Ginning Compound. It is an old industrial area and the building has a lot of history to it. We mostly work on making different types of clothing and garments here. The space is large enough for our machines and the tables where we cut the fabric. It can get pretty warm in the afternoons, especially when all the equipment is running at the same time. We have a small group of workers who have been with us for quite a while now. They know the rhythm of the work and how to handle the different materials we get. Shermian Street is usually busy with trucks coming and going from the various compounds. Sometimes it is hard to find a place to park nearby because of all the traffic. We don't really have a showroom like the shops in the main market. People who know us just come straight to the compound when they need to talk about an order. We spend most of our time focused on the stitching and checking the seams of the clothes. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We don't spend much time on decorations or making the place look pretty. It is a functional workspace where we get things done. Most of our days are spent surrounded by thread and stacks of cloth.
