Berni Garments

Berni Garments is situated at No. 108 Mahavishnu Nagar, right next to the TSH Godown on Angeripalayam Road. It is a bit of a maze back here with all the different units and godowns clustered together. You have to look for the cut next to the godown to find our entrance. We are mostly busy with the actual making of the clothes. There is always the sound of sewing machines running and people moving bags of fabric from one corner to another. It is a very industrial part of town so there is not much in the way of decoration or fancy signage around our building. We spend our days checking the seams and making sure the sizes are right before everything gets packed into boxes. The road outside can get pretty hectic with trucks coming and going from the various godowns nearby. Sometimes we have a lot of helpers in and other days it is just a few of us sorting through the latest batches. We have been operating out of this Mahavishnu Nagar spot for some time. It is not a quiet place but we like the pace of it. We just focus on the garments and getting them ready for whoever needs them. It is honest work and we stay pretty occupied from morning until we close up late in the evening.
