You can find us at Door No. 47/1 1a, which is Site No. 39 in Mahalakshmi Nagar. It’s located in the Kovil Vazhi area of Muthanampalayam. It is a bit of a quiet spot compared to the big city factories, but we stay busy enough. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we have all our sewing machines set up. We spend most of our hours listening to the rhythmic sound of those needles going up and down. There are pieces of thread and scrap fabric all over the place by the time we finish in the evening. Most of the people working here live nearby, so it feels like a small community. We deal with all sorts of apparel stuff. Sometimes the power goes out and everything stops, and we just sit and wait for it to come back on. It is honest work. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to answer phones with a script. Usually, it’s just one of us picking up if we aren't too busy on the floor. The address sounds a bit complicated when you say it out loud, but once you are in Mahalakshmi Nagar, it’s easy to spot. Saroram Apparel is just a local place doing its thing day after day. We keep the doors open to let the air in while we work on the latest batch of clothes.
