Sharp Knit Fashions

Our place at M-76 is where Sharp Knit Fashions operates. It is a straightforward address in an area that has many similar units. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the sound of the knitting machines. They have a specific rhythm that you get used to after a while, though it can be loud for someone just visiting. The space is filled with rows of machines and tables where we sort through the pieces. We aren't a huge factory, but we stay busy enough with the orders we have. The lighting is bright so we can see what we are doing, but the rest of the decor is pretty basic. We have some shelves for the yarn and some boxes stacked against the walls. It’s mostly about utility here. The M-76 spot is easy for the delivery vans to pull up to, which helps since we are always moving stuff in and out. We don’t have a fancy showroom or a big sign. Most people who come here already know where we are. The staff is local, and we just focus on making sure the machines are threaded right and the patterns are coming out okay. Sometimes a machine jams and we have to spend half the morning fixing it, which is frustrating but that’s how it goes in this line of work. It’s just a regular workshop where we do our best to stay organized and keep the work moving along steadily every single day.
