We are located at No. 699/2 inside the R. Mutthu Swami Industrial Complex on Samraj Road. Being in an industrial complex means there is always something going on around us. You can hear the sounds of other workshops and the trucks moving in and out all day long. Our unit is just one of many, but we’ve made it our own over the years. We have the cutting tables set up near the windows to get the best light. It’s mostly apparel work here, so there are piles of fabric everywhere you look. We aren't big on fancy office furniture. We use old wooden stools and metal tables that have seen a lot of use. The floor is concrete and we’ve stained it over time with various things. It’s a practical space designed for getting work done, not for looking pretty. We usually have the radio on in the background to keep the energy up while we're working through a big order. Samraj Road can get quite dusty, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the equipment. We don't have a big staff, just a few reliable people who know how to handle the machines. When a shipment is due, we all pitch in to get the boxes taped up and labeled. It’s just how things go here in the complex. We show up, we work hard, and we go home. No one here cares much for titles; we just focus on finishing the clothes.
